Safety and Fitment Policy

Effective August 12, 2026. Performance e-moto parts can contribute to serious injury, death, fire, electrical shock, property damage, and loss of control. This policy is a condition of purchase and supplements—not replaces—the vehicle and component manufacturers’ instructions.

Products are supplied as received from the manufacturer or supplier. Unless the exact listing states otherwise, Ryvex Mods does not independently inspect, test, or certify individual units before sale. A qualified-technician inspection of every safety-critical part before installation and use is a condition of safe use.

1. Off-road default

Unless an exact listing includes independent documentation stating otherwise, products are offered for off-road, private-property, competition, or closed-course use. You must determine whether installation and use are legal, insurable, and permitted where you ride.

2. No affiliation

Sur-Ron, Segway, Talaria, E-Ride Pro, 79Bike, and other marks belong to their owners. Ryvex Mods uses them only to identify compatibility and is not endorsed by those manufacturers unless expressly stated.

3. Verify fitment physically

Do not rely only on a model name or website badge. Verify year, revision, hub and bolt pattern, rotor diameter and thickness, offsets, axle, spacers, fork and swingarm clearance, caliper position, hose travel, steering sweep, connectors, polarity, voltage, current, mounting surfaces, and all prior modifications.

4. Qualified installation

Use a qualified, insured technician for brakes, wheels, tires, steering, suspension, controls, structural, high-current, battery, or electrical work. Use calibrated torque tools and manufacturer specifications. Never improvise safety-critical spacers, fasteners, fluid, wiring, insulation, or mounting points.

5. Brake systems

Keep friction surfaces free from oil, grease, cleaners, and incorrect fluid. Confirm rotor direction, bolt retention, caliper centering, pad engagement, hose clearance, lever/pedal reserve, leak-free connections, and correct bedding. Never ride to “see if” an unresolved brake issue improves.

6. Wheels, tires, and controls

Confirm axle seating, bearing condition, spoke tension, tire direction and pressure, bead seating, wheel clearance, chain alignment and tension, steering movement, throttle return, control security, and cable or hose routing throughout full suspension and steering travel.

7. Electrical and battery work

Disconnect energy sources using the manufacturer procedure. Prevent short circuits, reverse polarity, pinched wires, undersized conductors, water entry, loose terminals, and unsupported connectors. Do not work on a damaged, swollen, hot, leaking, or suspect battery. Use appropriate fire-safety precautions and professional assistance.

8. Controlled testing

After installation, inspect the stationary vehicle, test controls with drive power safely disabled where appropriate, then test at walking speed in a controlled area away from traffic and bystanders. Increase speed only after repeated inspection. Wear certified protective equipment suitable for the activity.

9. Ongoing inspection

Recheck after the first ride or heat cycle and at appropriate intervals. Vibration, heat, impact, contamination, weather, and repeated loading can loosen or damage components. Replace worn, cracked, bent, overheated, contaminated, corroded, or out-of-spec parts.

10. Stop-use conditions

Stop immediately for abnormal noise, vibration, heat, smell, smoke, fluid, intermittent power, steering change, braking change, cracks, deformation, rubbing, loose hardware, warning messages, or unexpected behavior. Isolate electrical or battery hazards and seek qualified help. Do not reproduce a dangerous symptom for video.

11. Rider responsibility

The rider is responsible for pre-ride inspection, lawful operation, speed, terrain, weather, passenger and load limits, protective equipment, training, maintenance, and keeping the vehicle away from unqualified or underage operators. Modifications can change handling, stopping distance, reliability, warranty coverage, and legal classification.

12. Acceptance and legal limits

By purchasing, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow this policy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume risks arising from selection, installation, modification, maintenance, and operation. This acknowledgment does not eliminate a duty or remedy that applicable law makes non-waivable.
